Gabe and Ellie, the most evolved of the Silver Surfer's abducted children, unleash the prophesied cataclysm on Earth. The Silver Surfer faces his responsibility for the destruction.
 
The Great Ark has plummeted to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. It causes a massive chain reaction on Earth, causing earthquakes and tsunamis. The Silver Surfer soon learns from Marduk that he was actually being the servant of Marduk, not some divine entity of good. The Surfer decides to defy Marduk and try to stop the destruction and save the Earth. 
 
He enters Earth's core and fuses his Power Cosmic with it, becoming one with the Earth. 
 
Ellie is meanwhile met by Amnel and told she must sever the ties between her and her mother. Knowing her mother will die, Ellie still agrees. She becomes one with Marduk.
